Pictures do not capture the true beauty of this chessboard. The grain of the wenge squares ripple like water, while the movingui glows with golden luster.
No veneer or stains on this board. Squares are made from ½†wenge and ½†movingui mounted on plywood, and framed with ¾†zebrawood. The playing area measures 16†x 16†and the entire board measures 21†x 21â€.
The board is finished with tung oil to give it a deep luster and a coat of wax for added protection. Felt is added to the bottom.
